Dive 188: Lobster Rock, Pulau Si Amil (Malaysia)

Dive time:  00:45:00
Max depth:  25.3 metres
Temperature:  29 C
Visibility:  10 metres
Buddy:  Jose
Surface interval:  19:22:00

I had a relative sleep-in this morning, getting up at only 6:30am rather than 4:30am as I had the last three mornings!  We went out to Si Amil , which has completely different diving to Sipadan, with lots of macro life rather than big wall diving.

The visibility was around 10m, probably due to the storms that we’ve had over the last few nights.  Still, the photographers in the group went mad at all the little critters that our DM, Michiyo, found including tiny little cowries, shy shrimp, and a white leaf fish.  There was also a banded sea snake gracefully swimming around hunting for food.

There was no current at all, so it was just a nice chilled out dive at a really slow pace – just how I like it!

I would love to know what you think...
